Agronomic management

We support winegrowers during all phases of vineyard life with the aim of achieving maximum expression of qualitative and quantitative potential.

Through the correct planning and execution of vineyard operations, it is possible to create conditions that favour the development and full ripening of the fruit. ‎ Agronomic practices represent preventive measures of fundamental importance in the implementation of an integrated pest management strategy with a low environmental impact.

From the dormant phase to the harvest, we help with all the main vine management operations, such as winter pruning, shoot and canopy selection, stripping and bunch thinning.

Each technique is tailored to the specific needs of the individual winery, in order to meet the required quality and quantity requirements.

The  Vitenova team is committed to identifying the best solutions with regard to

  • grassing management (green manure, technical and spontaneous grassing, etc.);
  • sub-row management (identification of the best applicable solutions according to the specific nature of the farm)
  • fertilisation (fertilisation plans, study of actual needs, EVO Analysis);
  • canopy management and regulation of the vegetative-productive balance;
  • the company’s machinery fleet, proposing the ideal set-up according to the company type.

Particular attention is also paid to summer stress management techniques (thermal-radiative excesses, water stress), also thanks to collaborations and experiments with universities and research institutes.
